12 October 2022 | Keynote Lecture & Networking

BDP, 16 Brewhouse Yard, Clerkenwell, London, EC1V 4LJ| 18:00 - 20:30

We are delighted to announce that this year's Keynote Lecture will be delivered by Marsha Ramroop. Marsha is the former Director of Inclusion at the RIBA, and a former BBC Journalist and Inclusion & Communities Editor.

Marsha will be speaking about how the right behaviours must inform all efforts to be inclusive; how we can develop those behaviours to support our policies, initiatives and networks, and how we can provide strong allyship for all those in underrepresented groups in architecture, using cultural intelligence.

Marsha was one of the first, of a growing global community, of independently certified practitioners and facilitators of Cultural Intelligence (CQ) in the world. She has actively sought out marginalised communities to work with them and been successful at opening the doors for them within the organisations she worked within. Marsha has also developed Inclusive training programmes and mentored people to help enter institutions they felt were closed off to them.

Driven to work in consultancy because of her desire to drive social change, Marsha is keen to address contemporary examples of equality, diversity and inclusion issues in the sector so we can all be more inclusive.

10 November 2022 | A view from...outside the industry

Online | 09:30 - 10:15

You've spoken, and we have listened. In the interests of delivering some outside the industry perspectives on workplace culture and EDI initiatives, the W Programme has teamed up with Electrolux to showcase some examples of what international corporate organisations are doing to elevate under-represented voices and why it's important to them.

Escarlata Loncán is General Manager - Iberia at Electrolux and will be delivering an online presentation, focusing on building inclusive cultures, how she developed and built her career and how the values and principles of Electrolux inspired her to keep going, amongst other things. Followed by a Q&A giving you the chance to ask some probing questions.

This event is free for W Partners and available to the wider AJ and AR audiences.

*Registrations are now closed.
